A Newly Built Home for World Travelers

Designing a young couple’s first shared home is always a special task. In this case, we were working with a newly built apartment of nearly 100 square meters — a space our clients had been searching for over a long period of time. As a result, their personal needs, individual tastes, and practical expectations played a particularly important role throughout the design process.
Since the layout of the apartment didn’t allow for major structural changes — the walls remained in place and the original finishes were also retained — the greatest challenge was to create a multifunctional, well-organized home within the given constraints. The living room, kitchen, and dining area were combined into one open space of just 24 square meters, where the dining function is fulfilled by a custom-built kitchen island that also serves as a dining table.
