Art Deco-Inspired Home Design
We redesigned the kitchen, dining area, and two bathrooms of an apartment located in an Art Deco building for a family of four. During the functional transformation, we converted two storage rooms into a new bathroom, giving the younger child their own bathroom, while the rest of the family uses the shared, larger bathroom.
The design focused on the spacious kitchen-dining area, which also functions as a creative space. Key priorities included ample storage capacity, an extendable dining table, and a kitchen island with additional storage. We filled the architectural recesses with function: we designed an arched configuration above the stove with a concealed extractor hood, created a dedicated coffee corner, and incorporated a spice storage area by the window.
The interior complements the Art Deco character with classic proportions, shades of blue, and a modern, liveable interpretation.
