Sleeping Loft Home
We reimagined the Budapest home of a Hungarian-Italian family with two children living in Italy to function as a true, comfortable base during stays of a few weeks at home.
During the design process, we are modernizing the bathroom and heating system, significantly increasing storage capacity, and creating a functional, enclosed entryway storage zone for shoes and coats. We are transforming the existing temporary wooden loft, accessible by a steep ladder, into a safe, expanded sleeping loft that accommodates two full-size (160 cm) beds. By redesigning the loft, we are also optimizing the ceiling height to make the space more airy and livable in the living-dining area.
